Who Bliss is

Bliss says it has been "creating Carnival experiences" since 2011.1 It belongs to the Tribe Carnival family alongside TRIBE, Harts and The Lost Tribe, all run by chief executive Dean Ackin.2 Like TRIBE, Bliss is an all-inclusive pretty mas band: your costume price also pays for drinks, food, security and other comforts on both Carnival days. Bliss puts a particular focus on pampering, with beauty zones, cooling zones and a champagne hour built into Carnival Tuesday.3

Carnival 2027: Horizon

The 2027 presentation, Horizon, is "inspired by the ever-changing beauty of the skies", from first light and golden sunsets to starlit nights.13 At the July launch, designer Chandra Maharaj told the Trinidad Guardian the team worked with their own versions of the sky, "whether stars, moons, clouds", and the paper reported the aim was to turn them into comfortable, practical costumes.4 There are 12 sections, including Nevaeh, Morning Star, Storm, Electric, Luna Rossa and Alpenglow. As of early October 2026, Aya is listed as sold out.3

What a day on the road looks like

Bliss's two days are planned differently, which is worth knowing before you pack:

  • Carnival Monday starts with BGIN, an all-inclusive food and drink party at the Oval before you hit the road. On the road you get mobile snack shacks rather than a sit-down lunch, and the band plays "right down 'til sundown".3
  • Carnival Tuesday opens with a rolling breakfast at the Oval. The band's site says you cross the Socadrome stage in the morning, then break at the "It's Not Just Lunch" park, which has lunch, beauty and pampering zones, cooling zones, cocktails and sponsor games. Champagne hour comes in the evening, and the day ends with Las Lap.35

Across both days, roaming bars serve unlimited premium drinks, with brands such as Johnnie Walker, Hennessy and Angostura rums, from music trucks with local DJs. You also get private security, medical staff and ambulance cover, air-conditioned mobile restrooms, roaming photographers and a complimentary shuttle to the band on Tuesday.5

How registration works

Phase One of 2027 registration went through Bliss committee members and marketing affiliates, all listed by name on the registration page. Bliss asks you to book only through one of them or through the mas camp.67 You give your bra type and size and your bottom piece option (women) or waist size (men). The down payment is TT$2,700 (US$432) for women and men, and add-ons such as backpacks need an extra deposit.6 Online bookings must be paid within 24 hours.7

Costumes must be paid in full by 31 December 2026. You can pay by cash, TT debit or credit card at the mas camp, or by Visa or Mastercard online. Cheques are not accepted, and distribution is payment-free.67 The last distribution day is Carnival Thursday, 4 February 2027. If someone else will collect for you, you name them as a delegate in the MasX app once the schedule is out.67

Tips for first-timers choosing Bliss

  • Know the price range. As of October 2026, women's packages run from TT$7,395 to TT$8,945, and the Revel Male package (T-shirt or tank, board shorts, socks and hat) starts at TT$5,795. Backpack upgrades cost extra, with Icon Backpacks from TT$8,000 to TT$9,995 and an IconIC Backpack at TT$13,995 in Aya, a franchised section sold by designer Shawn Dhanraj.8
  • Eat at BGIN on Monday. Monday has no rest-park lunch, only the pre-road party and snack shacks, so fuel up before you leave the Oval.35
  • Bring your own Monday wear. Bliss does not supply it, and asks you to keep your wristband easy for security to see.7
  • Stay with your band. The group's bands run separate routes, and Bliss does not let masqueraders switch between them.7
