Who Harts is

Harts has a longer history than almost any band on the road today. Lil and Edmond Hart founded it in 1961, and it built a following for its costumes and its "ultimate family vibes", with hundreds of masqueraders returning year after year.¹ In 2015 Harts joined the Ultimate Carnival family. The band says this let it keep its identity as one of Trinidad and Tobago's longest-standing bands while giving masqueraders a modern, premium experience.¹ Today it sits in the Tribe Carnival group with TRIBE, Bliss and The Lost Tribe.²

The band describes its masqueraders as "fun, friendly, fabulous" and "pure heart". If you want pretty mas with a long history and a family feel, Harts is worth a look.¹

Carnival 2027: Cosmic Chaos

"The universe has shifted, the stars have aligned, and Cosmic Chaos has arrived." Harts' 2027 presentation has eight sections: Astryx, Nova, Ignisia, Oceara, Paradox, Stella, Velora and Polaris.³ At the July launch the Trinidad Guardian described the costumes as outer-space and extraterrestrial oddities with stylish, flirty designs.⁴

The Harts way of doing drinks

Harts handles drinks differently from its sister bands, so read this part carefully. You choose a drinks option as part of your costume package:^5,6

• FIRE (Fully Inclusive Road Experience): unlimited premium drinks from the Harts FIRE drinks truck and partner carts.
• Student FIRE: a non-alcoholic option for masqueraders under 18, who wear a special wristband.
• A private drinks cart: you join one of the carts listed on the Harts site, but only with the cart owner's approval first.

On the 2027 section pages, FIRE or a private cart costs TT$895 on top of the costume, and Student FIRE costs TT$400.⁷ The FAQ also describes an upgrade called EDGE, with an air-conditioned bus, a bubbly hour, more lunch options, drinks runners and signature shots. Its price is not listed on the FAQ page.⁶

Everything else comes with the package: lunch on both days at a fully equipped rest stop, security, top DJs and sound systems, paramedics, mobile restrooms for men and women, the HARTS Cool Zone and a goodie bag of Harts souvenirs.^5,6

How registration works

There are three ways to register: at the mas camp, 57 Alberto Street in Woodbrook (Monday to Friday, 12pm-6pm), through a Harts committee member, or online.⁸ To register online, you click Register Now under your costume, or email harts@hartscarnival.com (opens in a new tab) with the subject "Register Online" and the name and email of each person. Every masquerader needs their own email address.⁶

The down payment is TT$2,000 (US$320) for women and men, or you can pay in full. Feathered add-ons over TT$2,000 need an extra 50% deposit. After that you can pay in instalments, at the mas camp or through your online account, up to two weeks before costume distribution.⁶

Tips for first-timers choosing Harts

• Add the drinks option to your budget. As of October 2026, costumes on the section pages range from TT$4,395 for a Revel Male to TT$6,195 for the top monokini option. Add TT$895 for FIRE unless you are under 18.⁷
• Use the fitting room. Harts offers costume sizing samples so you can check your fit before ordering, which helps because sizes cannot be changed later.⁶
• Follow the band's road advice. Harts' own tips: wear comfortable shoes, keep your pouch in front, drink plenty of water, stay in groups and agree on a meeting point inside the band.⁹
